"This is GREAT, when used as a placard, NOT a chest rig. I cut the 4 side clips off leaving the 2 at the top, & tossed the straps & the black mesh pad, exposing the Velcro. Multiple plate carriers have such a blueprint. Easy way to create a very slick high speed kit. Just think outside the box. Also the drawstrings in the bottom grommets as well as the 2 elastic loops inside the pouch are removable to have a general purpose front pouch.

"This chest rig is pretty solid for the price great quality fabric, Velcro in the right spots, comes with mag retainers, placard is removable and ready to be attached to any modern carrier.

However if you do purchase this you may want to find a different suspension method due to the fact the lower strap that comes with it is incredibly small. For my big boys out there it will not fit you that includes muscular guys.

My temporary solution to the sizing issue was to use the top straps, lengthen them, and attach in an X pattern to the lower strap buckles.

The included magazine retention system will not fit larger than AR style mags (I’m using Ak74 mags they do not fit ) so I would recommend getting different retainers if running something other than an AR style weapon.

Overall I would recommend this chest rig to someone on the skinner side who’s running an AR or M4 or anything that takes 5.56 mags. Big boys and Ak boys I would recommend saving for a nicer rig or an older surp rig instead of having to upgrade this one.
