When APS set out to develop the Silver Edge gearbox, they wanted to bring to market an ultra-smooth, low amperage draw, ultra-reliable system with huge upgrade potential. The newest iteration of the Silver Edge gearbox named eSilver Edge takes everything that made the original great and improves upon it.
The newly developed advanced S.D.U (Super Dynamic Unit) chipset monitors the amperage draw from shot to shot and will cut power to the gearbox if the current spikes too high before damage can be done to your gun.
To improve trigger performance, the eSilver Edge gearbox features a micro switch trigger which works together with the S.D.U. chipset for near instantaneous trigger response (as fast as 0.02 seconds). When combined with a short stroked trigger, users can achieve an incredible semi-auto rate of fire.
Additional to the reinforced internal parts, the gearbox shell itself has been greatly reinforced to withstand the stress of up to an M190 spring. " So to start off by saying this is my first gun that is on the not so cheap side I did get it on sale. So to start off I love the all metal of the gun and the muzzle break which makes it really look mean. Out of the box with .20s it shot at 391 fps with hop up off. I threw .25s and was shooting 350 fps hopped. I since switched to .30s which the gun seems to like shoots flat and far really accurate and at 305 fps. So far the gun performs really well I have about 2000 rounds through it so far. I am taking it to a milsim at the end of February so we will see the performance. One thing I'd really like to know more info on is can it handle a 11.1 lipo without burning the contacts or popping the fuse with the trigger system it has. My lancer proline can run an 11.1 stock I've ran it for over a year id just like more info on that if it's available. Overall great gun very happy with the purchase.
" Really liked the rifle, shoots very well and fit and finish was very good. Only negative thing i have to say about the purchase was the batteries were not good, one went bad after only 3-4 uses. It was charged with the provided charger and per the instructions but didn't last. Tried to contact customer service multiple times but never got a response back so just ended up buying new ones myself. I recommend the gun but definitely not the batteries that come in the kit.
