First impressions; Out of the box it was much lighter than expected, about the same weight as my other composite M4's. Reasonably accurate and a decent 300+ fps with .25g bb's. Feels solid, nice high cap magazine and the trigger has a good feel.

The packaging is on the cheap side, just a cardboard box with a cardboard insert and no protection. That combined with evikes minimal packaging and the oops delivery team, the gun managed to dig through the cardboard. There were a few zip ties on the rifle, I assume they had it tied to the box at some point.
The stock was loose and the hand guard was loose. The stock uses the long bolt to retain it but it also has a working ring nut(?). On that end, the sling bracket has a single point on the right handed side and dual rings on the left handed side so you wouldn't be able to forward your bolt if it were a real M4/16. The hand guard doesn't really secure well. It has two large bolts that should work as a pinch ring around the barrel nut but they don't tighten anything, they just run through grooves and two small grub screws secure and align the guard. Hard edges makes me wonder about feel during extended games.
Battery space is limited to the buffer tube, you have to remove the stock to access the buffer tube and wire connector. The buffer tube has slots on the side for a crane stock split battery but that makes it difficult to get the wires out of the way to re-install the stock. It is a very nice stock but I think it would do better on a front wired setup and a stock with more battery space would be better.

The big orange tip is metal, it was a little noisy but some motor adjusting smoothed it out, the inner barrel is brass and is visible in the big orange tip (full length barrel), the receiver pins are bolted, the motor grip base is vented and it uses a large slotted grub screw. It performed well with a 7.4v lipo but I haven't had a chance to field it or try an 11.1v, so we'll see.

I wanted to try this brand due to the article that evike wrote up about the quality of craftsmanship and materials. I'm really hoping the long term is better than out of the box but it's about par with a sub $200 AEG so far. I got it on sale for @$180 and it might be the most capable rifle out of the box aside from a CYMA ak 47 we have.

This might turn out to be a 5 star product but due to the facts stated here I have to give it a 4. I'll follow up later with another review once I've had a chance to put it through the paces.
