"These low profile knee pads fit very well (considering I am about 5 feet and 7 inches and 160 pounds average build). If they fit tight, it may be because they're upside down because the straps are different lengths. The outside shell is NOT a hard solid shell but it is somewhat of a tough flexible rubber shell (so don't think about sliding from cover to cover on these knee pads because there will be a LOT of friction) but not a big deal. The padding is very comfortable and doesn't slip below the knees over time due to double velcro straps. Overall, these knee pads are great to add to any loadout.

"Not as low profile as they seem. But they do the job.

Note: these are not hard. They are made of some sort of rubber. I doubt you'll be able to slide in them

"The manufacturer has changed the shell to a tough but flexible plastic, possibly after complaints from customers, so that’s a plus. They can certainly NOT be described as “fits most” though.

So, how big are they really? When laid out flat they measure 21.5” across the upper straps and 18.4” across the lower. So to fit with 2” overlap the measurement around your leg has to be 21.5” - 2” =19.5” (upper) and 18.4” - 2” =16.4” (lower).

There should really be an illustration showing actual width across the straps.
